Jacob Afriat

Jacob Afriat is a Managing Partner at Great Circle Ventures, where he leads investments at the intersection of food, human health, and planetary sustainability. Prior to joining Great Circle, he served as Director at Danone Manifesto Ventures—the venture arm of Danone—with oversight of a multi-hundred-million‐dollar portfolio. He earned his MBA from INSEAD and completed his undergraduate studies in finance at Yeshiva University. Afriat is also a mentor to early‐stage founders via programs like IndieBio and Techstars Farm to Fork, and has backed emerging companies disrupting traditional food systems through novel ingredients, functional nutrition and sustainability.
